Week 3 - Twitter will help you to build your brand.

Week 3 - Twitter will help you to build your brand.

The following 5 organizations that I have decided to follow on Twitter are:

1) 4Imprint (Promotional Products) [twitter.com/4imprint]
2) Branders (Promotional Products) [twitter.com/BRANDERScom]
3) Cherrydale Farms (Fundraising Products) [twitter.com/CherrydaleFarms]
4) Epicosity Agency (Marketing Services) [twitter.com/EpicosityAgency]
5) Idea International (International Tradeshow Services) [twitter.com/Idea_Intl?lang=en]

All of these companies listed above are my competitors and some of them are my B2B partners. All of the products and services they offered are similar to my current products and services offered by company. I am exploring and studying each of the company's twitter to review and listen on how they utilize the content to promote their brand. With this insight, I am able to build my own version to promote my branding.

I have had my Twitter account for some time, but it has been stalemated for the time being.  Twitter has limitations of how many characters one can have per twitter with short yet powerful messages I have yet to master. Now I am enrolled in the SMM course, giving me tools and resources that will help me increase my own branding awareness on Twitter, which will connect my business with customers. In addition, increase opportunities to provide updates about my products and services, and encourage customers to retweet to more potential customers. My weakness and challenge about the Tweet account is that you need to consciously on top of things and check the social media frequently and respond in order to maintain relationship with customers. Not to be least, with social media connections, will encourage me to search to continue to find more audience/targets who may benefit from my specialized and tailored services.

  1. Hey Todd,
I think keeping an eye on the competitors is a a wise move. Using twitter in this purpose seems a really good utilization of that social media tool.

  2. Great insights. See my post about using the dashboard tool, Hootsuite, which can help you with the challenges you identified.
